Some people may not know how we met, on Tinder! We started talking in March 2023. Chase came over to meet my family before we went on our first date. We went to a local Italian restaurant. We went on a few more dates in the same week! Chase kept asking Makayla for a kiss and when they would be official bf/gf. Makayla finally decided she didn't want Chase going out with other girls. Haha! On April 14th, 2023 Chase, Makayla and Makayla's parents, went out on a double date, where Chase asked (Chris) to officially date Makayla. One of Makayla and Chase's favorites dates was going to DC to see the Cherry Blossoms.

On July 1st, 2024 Chase and Makayla went up to DC with Chase's family. Makayla was suspicious of a proposal, especially when Chase's mom, Mary, said she had brought along a new camera! After walking around all day everyone made it up to the Lincoln Memorial and reflection pool. When we were last in DC, there were 2 ducks that chilled beside us in the park. While sitting at the Lincoln, Chase suggested to go look at the ducks in the reflection pool. (Due to the 4th of July celebration coming up the reflection pool was fenced off but Chase didn't care at this point.) He made a comment about it being the same ducks from last time and while Makayla was looking at the ducks he pulled out the ring, went down on one knee and got her to turn around…long story short and 5 proposal plans later, she said YES!
