Groom's Parents
Heidi is the youngest of four siblings. She grew up on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where she loved and cared for a horse in her childhood. She competed in the Junior rodeo as a barrel racer in Highschool and was honored as a rodeo queen. Heidi attended UC Davis for her undergrad and has been a dedicated elementary school teacher in her adult years. Some of her many passions include hospitality, gardening, reading, and caring for animals. Jason is also the youngest of four siblings, and has been an outdoorsman since childhood. When he was in high school he completed a 550 mile backpacking trip spanning Yosemite National Park, Sierra National Forest, and Sequoia National Park. In addition to backpacking, some of his other passions include sailing, geology, and astronomy. Professionally, Jason engages in California water resource planning and management.
Anita and James Walsh
Bride's Parents
Anita and James Walsh are Amber's supportive parents and best friends who have put up with Amber's shennanigans for 33 years. They have had her back no matter what and have helped her believe in herself (almost a little too much ;). Anita has run her own daycare for 37 years and is always there for her three daughters and two granddaughters. A true business woman with a big heart. She never stops working and cares about every one around her. She is the most empathetic and caring woman Amber knows. James was previously a special education teacher for the Newhall school District, previous therapist for students with special needs in the Hart School District and currently is thriving in the 11th year of his private therapy practice. He has dedicated his life to helping others. He enjoys working, helping others, going to church and to the gym. He also loves visiting Amber to teach social emotional lessons to her third grade class. James and Anita have been married for almost 41 years (May 19th, 2025)! They are a positive example of a long, loving, caring marriage and friendship.
Austin Andrews
Best Man
Austin and Nate shared many adventures (always filled with shenanigans) in middle school and high school. Austin always did his Algebra 1 homework before backyard basketball in middle school. He also always made room for snowboard trips in lieu of Math class as a senior in high school. After high school, Austin moved to San Diego where he attended Point Loma Nazarene University. Upon graduating, he earned his CPA license and began his career as a public accountant. During these years in San Diego, he met his amazing wife, Courtney. Their relationship brought Nate and Amber together! Austin recently completed his first remodel as a homeowner in Sacramento.
Brigid Kindernay

Brigid and Amber have been best friends since their freshman year of college (16 years). They also were roommates for five years. Amber's favorite memories with Bridge include eating grapes on the couch while watching Ugly Betty and "take your roommate to work day" where Amber would go to work with Briggie. They are obsessed with each other. Brigid is incredibly brave, creative (she made her own wedding dress and designs amazing clothes), hard working, wise, smart, passionate, and independent. She has taught Amber one of her most important life lessons: "Be the fish, not the fisherman" and is someone Amber looks to for life advice.

Quincy is the strong guy on the left. He’ll leave you with a genuine experience every time your path crosses with his. He goes out of his way to celebrate success in other people and has a contagious love for family and friends. Look out for him on the dance floor!
Jordan Hale

Jordan is Amber's little sister who is Amber's life saver. She is an upstander, honest, trusting, kind, caring, empathetic, and wise. She is the sweetest angel. Amber and Jordan shared a room most of their lives growing up and Jordan was always looking out for Amber even though she is the little sister. She is always there for Amber and all of the people in her life. She is incredibly loyal and dependable and always has your back. She is always helping people around her. Jordan was married this last October to her beautiful wife, Kayla. Their relationship is a great example of the type of relationship Amber strives for.
Chris Figueiredo

Chris and Nate played soccer together growing up. They also spent some time exploring similar business interests through DECA in high school. Chris spent a year living and working in New Zealand after graduating college. He invited Nate on the trip of a lifetime in 2021 when they got to explore the Brooks Range in Alaska by pack raft. He is very well traveled, and knows how to vacation in style. The man recently took a class on the mechanics of using a compass. You've got to wonder where he's off to next...

Amber's older sister and best friend who Amber absolutely looks up to and adores. She is an amazing special education teacher, mom, sister, daughter, wife and friend. She takes care of everyone around her. Whenever Amber talks to her, she is running off to go comfort a friend in need. She is always on the go and incredibly social. She is the person Amber has gone to her whole life whenever her heart was hurting for comfort. Tera and Amber's amazing brother in law-Jason have a beautiful family that we all adore.
Ryan Allred

Ryan is an avid outdoorsman with survival skills and a body type to weather even the harshest of conditions. He resides in Minnesotta with his lovely wife, Bailey Allred. Ryan and Nate were roommates for quite a few years during and after college, and took many adventures together exploring the Greater Seattle Area. He's been an integral team member on multiple research projects with the University of Washington studying human behavior. Find him bombing through some backcountry powder when the snow conditions are right.
Courtney Andrews

Courtney and Amber met when they cotaught middle school science together. They were teacher neighbors and Amber wishes they could have cotaught together forever. It takes a special kind of person to teach special education at the middle school level and Courtney is that special kind of person. Amber's favorite memories with Courtney are playing Jackbox during their lunch breaks and running science stations. She is the best mom ever and continually advocates for congenital heart defect awareness in memory of her sweet baby Cooper-the strongest baby we all have ever known. She is incredibly strong, honest, thoughtful, kind, caring, and empathetic.
Tanner Drake

Tanner is the man with a plan. He excels as a leader in his personal endeavors and professional projects. He grew up in Ventura, CA and knows the do's and don'ts of a true seaman well. Always planning for something bigger and better. If he doesn't know how to do it, he knows someone who does, and he'll make it happen. You'd have a great time if you found yourself on a boat with this guy someday.
Brielle Drake

Brielle is Nate's amazingly awesome sister and Amber's future sister in law. As a firefighter (the coolest one who can rescue you from a helicopter!), she works incredibly hard to help others and dedicates her life to make a difference every day. Somehow, she also finds time to renovate her home, care for her animals—including horses, goats, and cats—and even train an emotional support dog for the fire department. She has done so much to make Amber feel welcome and part of the Preece family. She is hilarious, cool, fun, kind, and energetic and Amber is so excited to have her as a sister in law.

Drew is an intentional, considerate, and well educated mechanical engineer. Drew loves life and all the people in his in a way that is unique and regenerative - if you know him you know. There aren't many others who can enjoy the present moment as well as he can. Drew is a young professional excelling in his careers. Nate is as proud as it gets to call him his brother.

Lily is Amber's wonderful friend and future sister in law. She has a beautiful relationship with Nate's brother, Andrew. She is super warm and welcoming to everyone she meets. Amber knew they would get along when they first met and started talking about their shared interests in true crime. Whether they're chatting about Taylor Swift, or diving into true crime, Lily always brings so much fun and positivity to every moment. She also has taught Amber what little information she knows about football which Amber is looking forward to learning more about. She’s incredibly kind, easy to talk to, supportive and one of the best listeners you’ll ever meet.
Chase Martinez

Chase leads a life that puts his family and friends first. You’ll often find him pulling together a group to hit an A’s game, the beach, or the mountains. He enjoys time spent with his people to the fullest. Chase has dished out more disses and burns than necessary to Nate during their friendship. Of course, those jokes were always in good fun, and they always came with a thoughtful explanation (in hindsight) about how they could have been avoided. The guy is a jokester, watch-out! Chase is a pleasure to get to know.

Megan is one of Amber's best friends and a former roommate of six unforgettable years. Megan has the biggest heart, and is endlessly empathetic and supportive of everyone in her life. She always shows up for the big moments but more importantly, the small, quiet ones when extra love is needed. Amber’s fondest memories with Megan include the simple but meaningful times: sitting together while Megan braided her hair, sharing heartfelt conversations about life and love, and creating vision boards. Megan’s kindness, humor, meaningful advice and unwavering support make her such an important part of Amber’s life. Whether she’s watching an F1 race or being there for someone she loves, Megan does it all with passion and care.

Garrett is one of the best storytellers you will ever come across. He’s taken trips all around the world, and collects artwork from the different places he’s been. Garrett is very handy and always on the go. He's the type of guy you’ll find remodeling his house in his “free time”. Recently, his pride and joy is his beautiful daughter Mari who he’s raising with his amazing wife, Catherine. Catherine and Garrett are always up to something even as they “settle down” with Mari in the suburbs of Bellingham, WA.

Amber's best friend (16 years) since freshman year of college and previous roommate of six years. From college shennanigans to adult shennanigans, Laurela is the perfect partner in crime and has your back no matter what-the definition of a ride or die. Amber's favorite memories with Laurela include staying up late watching dating shows, scary movies, playing Love is Blind, going to the movies, and laughing until her side hurts. She will go in the Most Haunted House in America with you on your birthday when no one else wants to. She is hilarious, brave, fun, caring, smart, loyal and honest. She will defend you like no other.
Josiah Gaede

Josiah stands out as a well spoken and ambitious leader. He and Nate were first classmates in the business school at Seattle Pacific University. Later, intramural sports teammates, housemates, and friends - Josiah is a very sensible man. He's got the LSAT scores to show for his ambitions to pursue a masters in law. Until then, he works on supply chain improvements at Amazon based out of the Greater Seattle Area. With the travel itinerary he's got in the works for 2025 its anyone's guess which major US city he'll be off to next!

Codie is Amber's cousin since birth. She is a fantastic mother of three wonderful boys, a cat, a dog, and a ferret. She is a wonderful mom, wife, friend and teacher. Her laughter is absolutely contagious-Amber bets five bucks she will be giggling down the aisle. From kids to adulthood, they would giggle uncontrollably together when playing games at their family's cabin. She is incredibly adventurous, kind, and brave. Her and her family have moved all over the world the last decade because her husband is in the military. This is when she became Amber's favorite travel buddy-they were able to explore Germany and Italy together and have a blast.

She is incredibly intelligent-academically and emotionally. She has a big personality and loves to give a good song and dance performance.

She makes sure you know that you are loved and will remind you by calling you in the middle of the night. She loves to play with her sister and her friends.

Justin is a fellow middle school teacher (current high school history teacher) who is well spoken, personable, wise, supportive, and intelligent. He taught middle school with Amber to the same group of students for 7 years. He constantly looks out for his family, friends, coworkers, and students. He has been an excellent educator, dog dad, friend, and husband to his wonderful wife Libby for almost ten years. We are looking forward to having him as our officiant on our special day!
