Mike & Jamie matched on bumble in October of 2017, but officially starting talking on Instagram! Mike “slid into Jamie’s DM’s”, messaged her a pickup line about how her Instagram name sounded like a dinosaur (@jaysuris) and surprisingly she answered him. They talked for a couple of days and then Mike asked Jamie on a date. They got sushi on 11.25.17. After the 1st date, they hung out again the next day, and then the next.. & the rest was history. It was truly love at first sight.

10 days before Christmas Mike surprised Jamie with a trip. He told her it was an early Christmas present and didn’t say where they were going, just what to pack for an overnight stay. That morning they drove 3 hours in the car from Long Island, NY and ended up in Kennett Square, PA. He took her to Longwood Gardens, a botanical garden that consists of over 1,077 acres. For Christmas, they decorate it with 500,000 twinkling lights. During the day they walked inside the Garden through rooms and rooms of flowers, trees and Christmas decorations. Each room was uniquely beautiful. When the sun went down and it got dark, they began to walk through the outside garden light displays. It was a winter wonderland. They stopped to take a picture in front of a lake & this blue sparkling tree. Mike said it was the “wishing tree” and to close your eyes and make a wish. As Jamie opened her eyes he was down on one knee and asked her to marry him.
