It all began in the most unexpected way—at Noodles & Company in Hunt Valley. Taylor was on a date and had brought a few friends along for company, while her date brought Scott to even things out. The two sat across from each other, but Scott barely said a word. With his headphones in the entire time, Taylor couldn’t help but think, “This guy is beyond odd.” Years went by, and their paths kept crossing. Scott would show up at parties, and Taylor always noticed that he stood out in the group. Looking back, they were always right in front of each other, but neither of them thought to be together. That all changed when Taylor went to college. Scott came to comfort her, and with a little encouragement from a friend, he finally asked her out. From there, everything clicked. Countless late nights turned into something inseparable, and soon their lives became intertwined in every way. At first, their worlds couldn’t have been more different. Taylor grew up in Pikesville, never having done her own laundry, while Scott was used to country living and yardwork. But over time, those differences became their strength. Now, they share a home where Taylor helps raise ducks and chickens, mows the lawn, and does things she never imagined—while Scott now sports Lululemon, makes Saturday lunches at Stone Mill a tradition, and has learned that Dolce & Gabbana is not a restaurant. Together, they’ve become the perfect combination. They’ve also fit into each other’s families seamlessly, surrounded by so much love and support on both sides. In 2020, they welcomed their sweet dog Oakley, completing their little family for now. And then, on July 27, 2024, Scott finally grew a pair and asked Taylor to marry him. She’ll tell you it was the best day of her life—surrounded by friends, family, and the love that had been right in front of them all along.
