We met at the church we both attended. He thought it was funny to show his interest in me by exiting the group and the conversation that he was in every time I approached and then he would return about five minutes later. It quickly became an inside joke and led to more regular conversations. And somehow this version of flirting worked for him because here we are getting married.

I grew up in Cajun country in Louisiana. One date that I always wanted Jordan to take me on was kayaking on the swamp. Every time we tried to go our plans would fall through. On October 15, 2022 Jordan took me to the swap that we had been trying to go to. At this time the water was very low so there was a lot of trash out and we went and looked to see what kind of cool things we could find that is usually buried in the water. He took this opportunity to bring me to a quieter place and pull out a gum wrapper ring that I made nine months before to give him a reminder of what he needed. Which is when he then made a joke and pulled out the actual engagement ring and proceeded to propose right there. I said yes 😊
