Wedding Celebration Party!!!

8.6.2021 in Austin, TX at 5:30pm CST

It's time to CELEBRATE!!! Josh and I have decided to throw a big celebration Party in Austin on August 6, 2022 to celebrate our marriage!

Updated Wedding Plan

4.4.2020 at 6pm CST

Update: In light of COVID-19, we wanted to let you know our wedding is going forward in our Backyard in Memphis, Tennessee through Zoom. As always, your health and safety are our top priority, and we want to include all of our guests virtually!

How We Met

12.15.17

According to Wallis: The holidays are the busiest time for me at work so I usually am tied to my desk but I had been invited to two holidays parties so felt like I would make the effort to have a fun Friday night. I had been invited to Lisa Street's Glo Holiday Party at Alchemy and Liz & Liza's Downtown Party so I started with cocktails with my mom in Cooper Young. I had told Karen that I wanted to grab dinner before I went downtown and mentioned that it could be fun to go next door where I knew there was a cute chef working. My mom and Ed were locals so she encouraged the idea. We proceeded to sit at the bar and meet the chef. He brought out every and any specialty that he had back in the kitchen...I was in love! He had mentioned that he needed help with some packaging for chocolates that we was giving his guests for Christmas dinner so my mom told him to give me his number. I still have the card in my wallet! I ended up going downtown and telling Liza that I had found the love of my life...not realizing that it was reality!! I texted him two days later and the rest is history! **FUN FACT: We both were together at his sister, Rachel's, Sweet 16 Party as well as 2008 White Station Prom!

Proposal

8.9.19

We were in Austin because I told Josh if we were ever to get married, there was this place called Eden East where I was going to get married and he had wanted to see the location. We planned to go for a long weekend but he had to cut the trip short due to work. I was just excited to get to show him around since he had never been to Austin! (I had spent some time there since Avery went to school at UT) We had gone to dinner with Riley, Elizabeth, and Neil on Thursday night. We woke up Friday and decided to go get breakfast. I told him we could walk around then meet up with Riley to go hang out on the water. We ended up walking by this mural "i love you so much" and he pretended to propose in front. I was so embarrassed because at the same time, a bike tour was going by and honking at us. All of the sudden, he grabbed his phone and said I will be right back. I did not really think twice since he sometimes has to take work calls. He walked back, told the bike tour guide to take another photo of us...he got down on one knee and popped the question! I screamed YES and was in complete awe! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. Due to the novel coronavirus, we have cancelled our wedding in Austin, Texas.
