We are registered at Zola, Target and Crate & Barrel.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:00 PM. Please give yourself ample time to walk or park your car and find a seat.
The dress code is formal which includes cocktail dresses, gowns and suits. Let us know if you have any questions as to what is appropriate attire.
We have carefully considered our guest list and have invited established couples as well as select plus-ones. Your invitation will indicate whether a date is included or not. Let us know if you have any questions.
We love children but our wedding has not been planned to entertain children. As such, we ask that you enjoy a child-free night as you celebrate our wedding. If you need help finding a trusted, local babysitter, let us know. At our event you may notice a handful of guests between the ages of 10 and 20 and they are family of the groom. No other children have been invited.
We have a room block at the Marriott (the reception venue). This is the first choice as you'll receive a discounted rate and can walk "home" from the reception at the end of the night. If you have trouble with the room block, please let us know. For a cheaper option, we would recommend a hotel near the airport although you'll have to factor in parking or transportation to and from the event.
Yes, please let us know when you RSVP if you have any dietary restrictions or food allergies. The chef has assured us that he is very accommodating.
There is parking for both! Next to the church is a parking lot in an area called "The Green". The hotel has valet parking. You can also park at the hotel and walk to the ceremony if you prefer. The walk is 1/4 of a mile or about 8 minutes.
We will have two informal, unhosted events that are open to all guests. Please drop in for drinks at Stoke Bar (inside the Marriott) on Friday evening at 9:00 PM so we can welcome you to Charlotte! On Sunday morning, we will be hanging out at Coco and the Director (also inside the Marriott) starting at 10:00 am so we can thank you for coming and wish you safe travels! Also, the coffee and cronuts (croissant/donut pastry combo) are wonderful.
Yes, there will be time between the ceremony and the reception. Our cocktail hour will begin at 5:00 and the ceremony will be finished around 2:45, so you have time to grab a snack, grab a drink and/or grab a quick nap before the party starts!
As Catholics, we believe that the Eucharist is more than just a symbol of Jesus' body and blood. We believe at the consecration, the bread and wine is transformed into Jesus' body and blood. If you believe this, we welcome you to partake in communion. Otherwise, you may approach the deacon with your arms crossed over your chest to receive a blessing or remain in your seat.
