We first met during our college years when we both lived in on-campus apartments. It felt like destiny when we discovered that our apartments were conveniently located across the hall from each other. Our living situation soon turned into a real-life version of the TV show "Friends." We had the boys' apartment and the girls' apartment situated across from each other, creating the perfect setup for spontaneous get-togethers and shared adventures throughout our college journey. Our friendship blossomed in that shared space, making those college days some of the most unforgettable moments of our lives.

In Maui, Hawaii, last August, after we enjoyed a lovely meal at Merriman's restaurant, Skylar and I took a leisurely walk to a beautiful bluff overlooking the ocean. Below us, there were baby sea turtles, making the scene even more magical. As Skylar gazed out at the view, I pretended to take photos. When she turned around, I asked, "Will you marry me?" It was against this stunning Hawaiian backdrop that she happily said "yes," marking the beginning of our exciting journey together.
