It was Fall 2017 at Louisiana Tech University. Ashley decided to become more involved on campus so she went to a NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) meeting. There she was intrigued by the dread head and freckled speaker. Quinton was the president of the the club and Ashley knew she had to join. Ashley would try to introduce herself but became shy. Quinton thought Ashley was taken so he did not try to introduce himself. Ashley decided to go on a regional conference trip as an opportunity to update her resume and hang out with the NSBE president Quinton. Ashley decided to ride with Quinton to the conference, and it became obvious to Quinton that he had a chance. With the help of friends, Alex and Yash, Quinton got Ashley’s number. Ashley was not trying to be in another useless relationship, so she prayed that if Quinton was the one he would text her. If not then he would not contact her. Within a few days, Quinton texted Ashley. Quinton was hesitant because he did not want to be in another relationship until he graduated. But you can’t plan love. Since the first text, Quinton and Ashley hung out everyday. Quinton knew Ashley was the one when she made New Year’s Eve, a holiday that’s hard for Quinton, a great one. Ashley knew Quinton was the one when what she prayed for aligned with what was happening. After Quinton graduated, he and Ashley moved to Zachary, LA. It was in front of their new house that Quinton proposed. He proposed the day they met: November 5. Ashley and Quinton are so glad they met each other and continue to put God as the center. They will be officially the Townsels on January, 7, 2021 which is 3 years after their official dating anniversary.
