We're getting married!

We knew each other in high school, and reconnected romantically later. I was a senior in high school and he had been in the Navy for almost a year. We rekindled online starting with a long distance relationship for 7 months and I ended up moving across the country to Virginia to further our relationship.

It all started when I was hoping he would get down on one knee at my birthday dinner in August 2017. Then I was hoping on our 3 year anniversary he would get down on one knee in September 2017. After that he told me he would propose to me in about a year. On November 02, 2017, after driving home from his belated birthday dinner, he suggested a walk around the park with our dog Ekko. He all of a sudden gets very deep into conversation about our future and what he wants to do. But then he stops, and as I'm still walking, he quickly pulls me back as he goes down on one knee. Of course I said "YES". I had no idea he was going to do it on his birthday!
