Passport Information

Your passport must be valid for your entire stay in the UK. If you plan on going to other countries before or after the wedding, there may be additional travel requirements. For example: your passport needs to be valid at least 3 months past your intended travel date if you want to visit France. Be sure to check the travel requirements for each country you plan on visiting. Below is the link to apply for or renew your passport.

Electronic Travel Authorisation to visit the UK

An electronic travel authorisation (ETA) lets you travel to the UK and is valid for 2 years. It should take about 5 minutes to be approved. Use the link below to apply.

Flight

London Heathrow Airport

We recommend flying into London Heathrow airport (LHR) but Birmingham International Airport (BHX) will work just as well. Please note the arrival date for your flight may be different than your departure date due to time change and the duration. If you have any layovers please ensure you and your checked luggage have plenty of time to make it through customs and security. Our rule of thumb is about 3 hours or more.

Getting there by Train

The train from London Paddington Station to Cheltham Spa station is direct and about 2 hours. This is the closest train station to Sudeley Castle & Gardens. A taxi rank is right outside the station to take you 8.5 miles to Winchcombe. Taxi pickups will need to be scheduled in advance. Use the link to book a train

The Sudeley Castle Estate includes 17 charming Cotswold holiday properties, all a few minutes’ walk from the center of historic Winchcombe and Sudeley Castle & Gardens.
