Jimmy and Jessie’s story began in the summer of 2021 in Sandbridge, where mutual friends (and now married couple!) Sydney Jaxtheimer and Dan Goddard introduced them. What started as a casual introduction quickly turned into something more as the two spent the weekend getting to know each other - sharing laughs on nights out at Calypso and Baja, soaking up the sun on the beach, and spending time with Jimmy’s family (and his dog, Zeus, who definitely made an impression). Just a few days later, they made it official. On one of their first dates, they started planning a trip to California. That adventure set the tone for everything that followed. Driving along Highway 1, with the ocean on one side and each other on the other, they fell in love not only with traveling together, but with each other. Since then, Jimmy and Jessie have made a tradition of exploring the world together—from the cliffs of Portugal to the mountains of Utah and the sunsets of Key West. After two years of long distance (and lots of weekend travel to make it work), Jimmy made the move to Virginia Beach, where they settled into a cozy home in Shadowlawn. In 2025, their little family grew when they adopted a crazy puppy named Bleu, who quickly took on the role of lovingly annoying her big brother, Zeus. On March 21, 2026, Jimmy planned a special day at Munden Point Park - one of their favorite spots to bring the pups. After a walk through the park, surrounded by the place that had become so meaningful to them, Jimmy got down on one knee and asked Jessie to spend forever together.
