FAQs

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 31st, 2023

Question

Can I RSVP online?

Answer

Please RSVP online. In an effort to save funds and the planet, we'll be utilizing a digital RSVP platform.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

After much consideration, we've decided that our wedding will be an adults only event. For those who are planning to bring children, we'll provide a sitter for the duration of the wedding and dinner events.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited capacity we are requesting that only those included on the invitations attend the wedding ceremony.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We are planning for an outdoor wedding. Barring any inclement weather, please plan to be outdoors for about an hour before leaving for the dinner venue. * Although seating will be available for any guests who aren't able to stand for long periods, the majority of our guests will be standing for the ceremony.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

We're requesting that our guests wear formal attire. The ceremony will be held outdoors. We suggest that men wear a suit in any color and women wear a floor-length dress, cocktail dress, or a nice pantsuit.

Question

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 4:00 as we're planning a prompt 4:30 start time for the ceremony.

Question

Will you be live streaming your wedding?

Answer

The wedding will be live streamed for all of our friends and family who weren't able to attend the ceremony.

Question

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will be "unplugged", meaning we're asking that attendees do not take pictures during the ceremony. The photographer will capture special moments during the event. We'd prefer everyone who is in attendance to be present and in the moment. Once the ceremony has ended, feel free to take photos at the wedding venue and at dinner.

Question

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venues?

Answer

Lyft and Uber will likely be the best options for travel to and from the wedding venue. We'll be sending a $40 Lyft voucher for travel from the Wedding venue to dinner.

Question

Is there parking available near your wedding venues?

Answer

The Lytle House is located on Broadway which offers metered parking on both sides at $2.25/HR. Parking is normally readily available on Fridays. Street parking is generally easier if you download and create a profile on the ParkChicago app. All other surrounding streets offer free parking, no permit required, no time restrictions, and no confusing signage. West of Broadway typically has easy street parking that is readily available on Fridays + Saturdays. If you prefer to plan ahead, you may want to find parking ahead of time using parking apps such as SpotHero or ParkWhiz.

Question

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotels?

Answer

There won't be a shuttle from the hotel to the Lytle House. However, we'll be providing Lyft gift cards to guests for travel from the Lytle House (wedding venue) to Sepia (dinner venue).

Question

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

We've reserved a block of rooms at the Marriott Marquis and The Moxy Chicago Downtown. *Please note we have not yet received the links needed to book rooms under these blocks, however we anticipate sharing them no later than 7/14/23.
