How We Met

A relationship that works

Joshua and Tasha first crossed paths in 2012 at work, of all places. She had just moved to South Florida looking for a fresh start and secured a position at the front desk of a real estate investment firm where he worked as a top sales agent. It wasn't love at first sight, per se. They were both living their lives as working professionals until one fateful night, a co-worker convinced Tasha to come out with the office crowd for a night of drinks at a bar downtown. It was there, in a small corner booth, that the two started talking. They dove deep into each other's stories--where they grew up, what their families were like, and how they both happened to make it to this particular bar on the exact same night. As the hours passed, they realized that they both felt a connection to the other unlike anything they had either experienced before. With all of their cards lying on the table, they decided to take it slow. She had a son from a previous relationship and wanted to focus on her future. In the following months, they cultivated a relationship that centered around mutual respect, kindness and generosity. After months of courting, Tasha was convinced that she had found something rare.

The Journey to I Do

Taking our time

This was the first relationship that was truly effortless for these two. Life was a breeze. Both Tasha and Joshua got along well--they made each other laugh often, they cared deeply about the other's thoughts and opinions and both wholeheartedly supported one another's dreams. Tasha fell in love with the way Joshua took to being a dad to her son, Sullivan. She loved seeing them together and it further assured her that she had found the man she was meant to find all along. They decided to move in together and after a few years of bliss, they both decided that their family felt incomplete. They welcomed their daughter, Cecelia Annette in 2017 and fell even more in love with their growing family. At last, after seven years of relationship heaven (and many "When are you two getting married?" questions from family members) Joshua popped the question--and Tasha said yes! We are so looking forward to starting this new chapter together, and can’t wait to celebrate with all of our favourite people.
