Due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ve decided to elope on our original date. We can’t wait to celebrate with our close family and friends this summer. Sydney and Bernard met in 9th grade history class in Macon, GA. The two had mutual friends and also many classes together but never showed interest in each other. They shared a friendship throughout high school and while attending college together at Valdosta State University. Sydney and Bernard reconnected once they were finished/finishing undergrad. They began dating on January 1, 2018. They remained in a long distance relationship for a year before Bernard joined Sydney in Atlanta, Summer of 2019. Bernard proposed on December 31, 2019 - because he couldn’t start a new decade without Sydney as his wife. The year 2020- the couple survived a global pandemic and planned two weddings. They wed on April 3, 2021 with parents and siblings present, to witness their love before God. They will share their personal vows before family and friends on June 25th.
