Waleed’s latest mural is one of the newest and most celebrated murals in the city. “The Spirit” was created to be an homage to the Black women who have been the heartbeat of Detroit and an enduring presence in Waleed’s life. On October 14th the Mayor of Detroit hosted a press conference to celebrate the mural and Waleed’s contribution to the beautification of the city. You can visit this 60 ft alluring work of art on the corner of Mack Avenue & Van Dyke.
