About *Us*

It all started at the Umbrella Bar. She was there because her residency friends wanted to go through haunted houses. She, however, decided that paying to be terrified wasn’t her vibe — so she parked herself outside at the bar, not drinking, just studying. (Yes, at a bar. Studying.) He was there for a far more normal reason — celebrating a coworker’s engagement with friends, doing normal bar things like laughing, cheering, and not studying. They met. They chatted… barely. It was not love at first sight. No sparks, no instant butterflies — just two people who would later say, “Wait, we met that night?” Somehow, a not-so-great first date followed (details classified), but fate — and probably his persistence — led to a second date. That’s when things finally clicked, laughter happened, and suddenly it all made sense. The haunted houses are long gone, the bad first date is now hilarious, and here we are — planning a wedding.

About Him

Wisconsin born and raised, he took his Midwest charm on a world tour thanks to the Air Force — with stops in Texas, Hawaii, Turkey, and back home again. He’s still full-time with the Air National Guard doing important “Air Force stuff” (we assume it’s top secret, but he mostly just says “stuff”). He also earned a Master’s in Business with a focus in analytics because apparently he enjoys making spreadsheets sound heroic and defending this country just wasn't enough. When he’s not at work, you can find him hitting home runs in one of his many softball leagues or quoting movies/shows like it's his part-time job. Reliable, competitive, and always good for a sarcastic one-liner — that’s him.

About Her

She grew up under the Arizona sun, worked full-time with Overland Missions traveling all over the world, and eventually swapped her passport for scrubs when she went to medical school and became a Doctor. Now she’s months away from finishing her anesthesiology residency — proving that hard work (and a lot of coffee) really can make dreams come true. When she’s not in the hospital, she’s probably on the volleyball court, crafting something Pinterest-worthy, or planning her next DIY project that may or may not take over the living room. Warm-hearted, driven, and with just the right amount of sass — she’s the calm in his chaos (and sometimes the chaos in his calm).
