We are high-school sweethearts, meeting when Ryan was a sophomore, and I was a Junior. We first met when I came up to talk to some mutual friends while Ryan was in the car. I tried talking to him, but he was too shy, only saying a few words. Several days later, we met again at FCA after school. During FCA, students played games leading up to the service of that evening. During the games, Ryan got a second chance. This time, he struck up a conversation with me and there was an instant connection. Ryan asked for my number, and we spent the next few weeks getting to know each other. On December 20th, 2015, we went on our first date - ice skating and eating at Subway. We have gone on the same date for our anniversary for the past 8 years before Ryan finally asked me to marry him.

On August 19th, 2023, Ryan asked me to marry him after almost 8 years of dating. I wanted to go on a picnic date so that is what he planned. We dressed up and went on our picnic at Woodward Park in Tulsa. Of course, we had to pick up Chick-fil-a. Little did I know, Ryan had planned something more. After the picnic, he insisted we go for a walk to see the courtyard garden. As we turned the corner, I immediately saw a marry me sign. He even got my best friends to be there, making this special day even better. We walked down the pathway with candles, rose petals, and pictures. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him in the most perfect way.
