Thank you to those of you who have planned to be at our wedding in May. Due to COVID-19, we’ve decided to postpone our wedding. We’ll keep you posted on our new date and when you can RSVP on our site. New announcements will be sent out when we have a date finalized for either the end of May or the beginning of June 2021. The wedding next spring will be in Great Falls, MT instead of Bozeman. We do still plan to have an intimate ceremony with just our parents and siblings yet this year and then celebrate with all of our friends and family at the ceremony next spring. Wishing you all health and safety, and looking forward to celebrating together!
We met in high school at Mount Ellis Academy during our freshman year at Handshake. We hung out as friends that entire year but when sophomore year came around, he didn't come back to MEA. We stayed in touch over the phone for a little bit but it didn't last long. It was the spring of our sophomore year at Alumni weekend that we reconnected and hung out all weekend. We continued talking even after he went back home. On the day after my birthday, I called Andrew and he answered. I told him I broke my nose (don't ask how) and would need surgery next week. That next Tuesday, May 6th, after I was back in my dorm room Andrew called and we talked. He officially asked me if I would like to be long-distance with him. Obviously I had said yes. Was it because of the pain killers? Well, Andrew did ask me again the next day to be sure it wasn't. We dated long-distance until our senior year and spent it at MEA together. After graduation, we both went to Walla Walla, Washington for 2 years. Andrew at the Community College and I at Walla Walla University. On June 16, 2018, my family went to Yellowstone. After Old Faithful had gone off, we started to walk back to the car and Andrew said: "Should I do it now?" I was oblivious and said, "Do what now?" And the rest is history.
