Wedding Party

Alyssa

Bridesmaid

Sam and I have been friends since high school, the kind of friends who could always pick up right where we left off no natter the distance or time between. I’ve seen Sam through so many memories and her meeting Dan, and watching their love story unfold, truly is my favorite memory. I was by Sam’s side when she not only met Dan for the first time, but also when she asked him to be her boyfriend, and now I get to stand by her while she marries Dan. My heart is full of happiness for these two!

Karlee

Bridesmaid

Meeting Sam at our first ‘big girl jobs’ back in 2016 was monumental in shaping my early 20s—and honestly, my life since. Even when we were crammed into the kitchen supply closet they called my office, Sam knew how to brighten my day. She’s been a constant through every career change, every crush, every heartbreak, every ‘cat daddy’ on the dance floor, and every adulting hardship these past nine years. Even though we’ve spent more time living hundreds of miles apart than we ever did together in Albany, the bond hasn’t faded. I still remember the sheer confidence and unconditional love in Sam’s voice when she first told me about Dan. From the beginning, he’s taken such incredible care of her, and I’m eternally grateful knowing she has someone so devoted by her side—wherever life takes them (though I think we’re all hoping it’s back to New York someday). It means the world to me to stand beside them on their special day. Sam, thank you for being such a quintessential part of my journey—I’m so honored to be a part of yours!

Groomsman

Wow. Where do I even begin? Dan and I have been attached at the hip ever since he moved to East Rochester. I remember when he was very new and only knew a couple people but that didn’t stop him from coming out of his shell and coming down to the park to see what was going on. He didn’t know me and I didn’t know him but it was like something clicked right there, and ever since we have been sharing clothes, shoes and even colognes. Dan is my best friend and I’m happy that you came down to the park that day, as I gained not only a friend but a brother. I am so incredibly happy for him and Sam and glad to see such a beautiful couple tie the knot. Cheers and many blessings!

Claire

Bridesmaid

Hi! I’m Claire :) Sam and I have become so close since we moved to Austin around the same time and worked in the PICU together. I met Dan when he visited Austin the first time and knew he was the one for her! They are an amazing couple and I can’t wait to be with them for their big day (and I will continue to live in their spare bedroom forever if anyone was wondering).

Mike

Groomsman

The first time I met Dan was at freshman orientation in high school, we didn't talk much until we were both invited over to our friend Drew's house for a party, which is when I pranked Dan with the infamous biofreeze incident. We have been friends ever since. Now Dan is more like a brother to me and I'm so excited to stand beside him on his wedding day.

Marley

Bridesmaid

Hi friends, I’m Marley, Sam’s favourite Canadian! Sam and I first met as travel nurses in the pediatric intensive care unit in Austin, where we quickly bonded over how wildly different life in Texas was compared to back home. The way Sam prioritizes the people she loves and makes everyone around her feel like family is exactly why calling her my best friend comes so easily. She’s got big laughs, big feels, and the emotional depth to create the safest place in the world. Dan mirrors all of that beautifully, I couldn’t imagine a more genuinely perfect pair. Their shared love of life and connection is why so many people, myself included, feel instantly at home around them. So here we are, celebrating two of the most beautiful souls I know. Yeehaw buddy, let’s get these cuties married!

Jacob

Groomsman

Dan and I met back in the dorms in San Antonio TX for our tech school for Security Forces. Initially we hit it off telling each other stories of our recent high school years; all the shenanigans we both used to get into before enlisting. New York for him, Oregon for me. It was pretty clear that our lives before the military weren't that different at all -- we were both pricks. We almost got kicked out of the military, but instead got sentenced to community service. Eventually they let us through and Air Force had the brilliant idea to send us to the same little base in the middle of nowhere. For the rest of our years there, in that humid ass city, we sure made the most of it. Thinking back, it was some of the best times of my life. I met my best friends down there. The ups and downs we all went through together was really a once in a lifetime experience that I wouldn't trade for the world. All of our lives look wildly different today than they used to, and I'm pretty sure we're all making better big-boy decisions than we did back then. Dan always told me, "Jake, you're my brother. We're going to be at each other's weddings." Well, the day has finally come and I couldn't be more happy for him and honored to be a part of it. He sure is making a damn good decision with this one.

Ciara

Bridesmaid

I first met Sam while we were travel nursing together here in Austin. We both loved each other so much that we just had to stay here permanently. I first met Dan when I was visiting Rochester for another friends wedding. I just knew he was perfect for her when he didn’t think it was crazy that Sam’s random friend he didn’t know stalked him to a bar just to meet the guy she liked. I’ve loved every minute of watching their story unfold and I’m so excited to celebrate their love on the big day!

Trey

Groomsman

What’s up. My name is Trey and I’m a Firefighter here in Orlando, FL. I joined the military after high school where I first met Dan. After we graduated from Tech School, we got orders to go to Moody, AFB GA…Originally, we had orders to go to different bases, but I’ll tell y’all that story another time.. But when we got to Moody, we partied like degenerates and made 12 leg parlays every weekend. Made a lot of good memories with Dan during my military career and will always remember those times! Happy that he has found the love of his life. Excited to celebrate their special day!

Austin

Groomsman

Hi, I'm Austin! Dan and I have been friends for 10+ years, and it all started through mutual friend groups running into each other here and there. Dan and I became better friends as the years went on, but it wasn't until covid happened that our friendship turned into what it is now! From playing video games while we were off from work, driving 18 hours to Georgia to visit him in the military, rooting on the Yankees whether we were watching it together, at the game live (Ben Rice 3 Homerun game against the red sox) or texting in the group chat when someone hits a homerun. Dan is now one of my best friends and I can't wait to continue making more memories during this next chapter of life. I am so glad he has found his other half in Sam and I am honored to be a part of their special day. Congratulations to Dan and Sam!

Brittany

Bridesmaid

Hi, I’m Brittany! I was Sam's first friend in Austin, and we shared countless late-night talks and adventures. Now, I’m beyond thrilled to be by her side on her wedding day, celebrating her love with Daniel. Let’s get these lovebirds married!

John

Groomsman

Dan and I didn’t really get close until later in life but that didn’t stop us from becoming brothers. We met through mutual friends but after high school each day that we were around each other we grew closer and closer and I’m glad I can call Dan a true friend, even better my brother.

Jordan

Bridesmaid

Hi, I’m Jordan! Sam was one of the first friends I made in Austin, it only took us two days before we were out on the town. From then on she became my go-to person for just about everything. We got to experience all our first Austin adventures together, from stressing over work, becoming experts at getting free drinks, surviving the Sunday scaries, spending holidays together, and just always showing up for each other. I truly cherish Sam, our friendship, and all the memories we’ve made. Even miles apart our friendship is strong. I’m beyond happy for Sam and Dan and I can’t wait to celebrate with them on their special day.

Brad

Groomsman

I met dan through video games playing for hours and hours a day, grinding diamond and masters lobbies, ya we were ELITE. Once he moved back to New York we finally met in person and our friendship became strong - hitting the links, Sunday fun days, late night talks and of course gaming still. Sam is actually one of my good friends from High school. She came to visit our friends last summer and after some chats and beverages Dan and Sam started hitting it off. They’re both energy people and perfect for each other! I love them both. Congratulations!!

Chloe

Bridesmaid

Hi! I’m Chloe! I know we are all gathered here together on this website to find out the most important details of this very special day….like whether or not there is going to be an open bar. I met Sam when she first moved to Austin for travel nursing. We immediately became friends (both water signs, duh!) and I knew I had to come up with a plan quick in order to get her to stay because I have aBaNdOnMeNt iSsUeS. This mostly consisted of me begging on my knees and crashing out every time she said she would be going somewhere new for her next contract. I knew I was really doomed when she told me she got rid of all of her Christmas decor she had bought in Austin because she would not be able to take it with her to the next place (and if you know Sam, you know she loves Christmas!). She would always say she was leaving, but somehow always ended up staying another contract. I like to tell myself that I am the reason why so I can sleep better at night. And she did end up having to buy new Christmas decorations. It is no surprise that she was able to find such a great community here because of the incredible friend she is to others. And of course, no surprise that Dan was able to see all of her amazing qualities as well and decide to make her a wife! I am so excited to be apart of this chapter for both Sam and Dan and can’t wait to see all of their future milestones together as a married couple. ….and yes, there will be an open bar.

Tate

Groomsman

Dan and I met in a galaxy not so far away — probably in an apex lobby with a questionable random. One moment we were strangers, the next, co-pilots in chaos. Whether navigating the dark side of the ranked grind or lightspeeding through the DK funds. He’s always been a ride-or-die like Han and Chewie. Now he’s joining forces with his forever co-pilot — and the Force (of love) is strong with these two.

Gina

Bridesmaid

Hi everyone, I’m Gina! Sam and I have been inseparable ever since we met over ten years ago in high school. We’ve been through it all, and no matter the distance, our friendship has only grown stronger. Sam is the true definition of a ride-or-die best friend — loyal, caring, and always there no matter what. She has the biggest heart and couldn’t be more deserving of someone as truly amazing as Dan. The two of them bring out the very best in each other, and I am beyond honored to stand by her side and celebrate their beautiful love story on this most special day. Cheers to Dan and Sam!

Derek

Groomsman

I’ve known Dan for 14 years now. After all the memories throughout high school, (some) college, and living together, I am honored to be by his side on this day. Congratulations Dan and Sam!
