Back in 2013, Liz started her short lived radio show, Keeping it Local with Liz, which featured bands from New England. Thanks to one of her friends, she interviewed two members of the band One Time Mountain. That December, Liz went to see the band, not realizing that she would be seeing her future husband on stage. Five years later, Liz drunk tweeted on the 4th of July, questioning why many random cute bots (yes, bots, not boys) were following her on social media, and Jeff swooped in with the perfect response, "Maybe 'cause you're cute?" He had been subtly laying the groundwork over the five years, and decided to finally Tom Cruise slide into Liz's DMs.
After hanging out for a few weeks, Liz and Jeff joined some friends for a night on the town. They had a lovely summer evening in Boston, and Liz took it upon herself to ask Jeff for a very simple favor: to be her boyfriend. When ya know, ya know.
For most people, 2020 was a crazy, whirlwind, dark year, full of unknowns and brand new territory. For us, it was a crazy, whirlwind, bright sunshine day full of unknowns and brand new territory when we became Two Blues & a Wadman. Sadie Marie joined our family, and has been the absolute apple of our eye ever since. She was the missing piece to the puzzle we didn't realize we needed so soon, and has been making us giggle constantly since.
Marriage was a topic Jeff and Liz had discussed a couple months into dating. It was pretty much always on the table. A few days before their sixth anniversary, Jeff began asking about what kind of ring Liz would like. Liz isn't a typical girly girl so she had absolutely no idea, so they started looking together online. Then, the next day, he told her that he wanted to go out to dinner, and already asked her mom to watch Sadie for the night. On Monday, July 22, 2024, after a lovely Japanese dinner and walk through a local park, Jeff started talking about how much he had enjoyed the six years of calling Liz his girlfriend, but that it was time to starting calling her his fiancee. He got down on one knee, and asked her to marry him. She of course said, "yes, finally."
