Before they ever met, Jordan sent Annie a message via Facebook asking her out for a cup of coffee. He said, "He liked what he saw", so figured it was worth a shot. While the gesture was remarkably sweet, Annie promptly and politely declined. Just a couple of days later, Annie came to her senses and wrote Jordan back wanting to know if the offer was still on the table for a "meet and greet". She suggested they go grab some coffee at "Please and Thank You" in NuLu, then head to 21C so they could go appreciate and make fun of art. Right after church on September 1st, 2013, Annie waltzed right up to Jordan who was waiting for her outside the coffee shop and with a firm grasp she shook his hand and said, "Mr. Morgan I presume?" Being instantly wowed by her "I mean business" approach, Jordan just knew this girl was right up his alley. The two of them never made it 21C that day. They stayed at Please and Thank You, chit chatting away. At some point Annie needed to go home and let her dog Jenna out, so she kidnapped Jordan to go with her so they could continue their conversation during a walk with her dog. Somehow they found themselves hanging out with her neighbors Al and Jan for the rest of the afternoon, getting to know each other in the presence of strangers who they also ended up getting to know quite well. Even though they both weren't really sure what to make of each other , Annie knew Jordan must be somebody special because he saw the mess she made while eating, and yet still wanted to continue to hang out for hours on end. While Jordan thought Annie's handshake was certainly impressive, he was most blown away by how at ease he felt around this new stranger, and didn't even hesitate to let Annie touch the back of his brain within just moments of meeting. Still, to this day, Jordan has no clue why he let a complete stranger do that. Oh, well… it all worked out and they’ve been together ever since.
