At this time, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our reception. While we recognize that there is an approaching light at the end of the tunnel, we are still faced with gathering size restrictions and state by state complications regarding travel and vaccination rollouts. Rather than create a last minute stressful decision, we have chosen out of respect for our friends and family to make this decision now, so that we don’t re-create last year’s “will they/won’t they” situation in the coming weeks. We love and appreciate every single one of you for supporting us in this tough decision.
Hello all! We are 6 months out from our anticipated party this coming summer! We know the world is far from normal at this time, and we intend on communicating as soon as possible as we learn of any impacts on our planned party. For those interested in looking at updates in real time, we will share several resources for regional and national updates in the Covid Resource tab above. Our reception venue is located in Lake County, which puts us in Region 9. In the meantime, stay safe, get vaccinated, and we will celebrate together soon!
Hello friends and family! We have updated plans for our delayed reception! Our party will take place in Lake Barrington Illinois on June 11th. For additional details about venue, lodging, and other logistics, we have updated the website information to reflect the new plans. We can’t wait to party with you in 2021!
While we don't have any formal updates at this time, we wanted to make sure that we communicate as much as possible using this website. At this time, we are in the process of working on booking a wedding anniversary/delayed reception party for June 2020 in the Chicago area. The dates are not finalized as we are still in early conversations with vendors, though we expect that the event will be either a Friday or Saturday (pending venue availability). We are trying to be flexible in light of the fact that the 2021 wedding season is going to be very busy. Once we have more information, we will let you know!
At this time, we are devastated to share that our wedding plans have been cancelled. Due to COVID 19, we will still be getting married on May 23rd, but with only immediate family in attendance. We are both medical professionals, and the bride has been working on the front line caring for COVID positive patients, so we feel it would be irresponsible to hold a large gathering of our loved ones. It is our intention to create a livestream for family and friends to be present from afar, and as we have more information regarding the details we will share that here. We cannot thank you all enough for the support you have shown from afar, and we wish every one of you a safe and happy springtime amidst the pandemic chaos. Once the dust settles, we’re planning to schedule a delayed celebration in our new home city of Chicago. We can’t wait to celebrate with you at another time! P.S. Please pray for our future grandchildren, they're going to have to hear this story told and re-told for years to come :)
