We were both involved in the Pre-Physical Therapy Club at Colorado State University and first saw each other in a Zoom meeting in 2020. Grant was a club officer in his Junior year, and Katie was a Freshman eager to get involved. Later on, the club was able to host its first in-person event where we shook hands before a game of sand volleyball. After that, we seemed to cross paths almost daily around campus: at the student center, library, and the rec center where Grant worked. On a campus as large as CSU, our run-ins began feeling like more than just a coincidence. Flash-forward to April of 2022, it had been a while since we had seen each other. We were catching up on Katie's upcoming study abroad in Costa Rica and Grant's plans for graduation. That's when Grant innocently asked for Katie's phone number to recruit her as an officer for the Pre-PT Club. When we started texting we realized that conversation flowed naturally and found ourselves talking about more than just a "rumored" club officer position. We went on a few dates before Katie left for Costa Rica and assumed things would fizzle out (aka we'd never see each other again). We ended up FaceTiming quite a bit while Katie was abroad and when she got back we were both excited to see if the timing was right. Not long after, Grant took Katie stargazing and asked her to be his girlfriend!

It was May of 2024 at Katie's CSU graduation party! Grant knew he wanted to take the next step after Katie committed to the same physical therapy program at Idaho State University. After a day of celebrating Katie with family and friends, Grant asked to take a photo together. Since he had been so nonchalant, Katie was very surprised to see Grant on one knee proposing! We are so excited to celebrate this new chapter with you! See you in Boise!
