If you asked me three years ago where I'd be today, I never would've imagined being a full time resident on Martha's Vineyard exploring life with the man I love. I took an assignment as a travel physical therapist on Martha’s Vineyard not knowing what my journey would bring. On my first week while out in Edgartown I saw a handsome man with his friends outside of Rockfish. We continued to look in each other's direction but never spoke. I left thinking O well; I'll probably never see him again. Not realizing how small the island was, I saw him again that night at a bar called the Ritz where he finally came up to me (I didn’t come up to her, I went up for a drink and was a gentleman asking the bartender to serve her first). He continued to ask me where I was from and what I do for work (we all know who the chatty one is). I left that night without giving him my number thinking again...maybe I'll never see him again. To my surprise Devin used his police detective skills and friend requested me on facebook the following morning (I friended her because she gave me a whole sob story about how she knew no one here, it was a friend request out of pity. Melissa is the one who slid into my DM’s). The rest was history. On our first date Devin took me for a walk through Edgartown to the lighthouse with his brand new puppy, Echo. Together we developed an amazing relationship, fell in love, and raised our handsome fur baby. On October 5th 2019, Devin took my breath away and proposed to me at that same Edgartown lighthouse. It was one of the most amazing and memorable days of my life. Soon after, I was surprised by all of my closest family and friends walking towards the lighthouse with champagne and flowers. We enjoyed an amazing day on lighthouse beach followed by dinner at the Port Hunter. I couldn't have dreamed of a better man to spend the rest of my life with. Here's to our love story.
