Transportation to and from all wedding events will be provided from Hotel Rigat.

Meliá Lloret de Mar

Fully refurbished and reopened in 2024, Meliá Lloret is a four-star hotel surrounded by beautiful gardens and located half a mile from the beach. Amenities include two restaurants, two bars, two outdoor pools, an indoor pool, a fitness center, workout classes, bike rental, a beach volleyball court, and a wellness spa with a sauna, steam room, and massages. This is a fabulous option away from the touristy super center, which will be crowded during high-season. For all wedding events, transportation will be provided to / from Meliá Lloret de Mar.

Barcelona-El Prat Airport (BCN)

If you're coming from the US, you should fly into the Barcelona Airport (BCN). Delta has one daily direct flight out of Atlanta: a 9:55 p.m. that lands around 1 p.m. local time (~8.5 hours). The flight back home is longer, but the time change is an easier adjustment. Delta's one daily nonstop to Atlanta leaves at 11:35 a.m. and lands around 3:40 p.m. EST (~10.5 hours). Girona-Costa Brava Airport

If you're coming from somewhere in Europe, another potential option is the Costa Brava Airport. It's about half an hour from Lloret de Mar and is a hub for short-haul, low-cost flights (e.g., Ryanair, Jet2), especially in the summer.

Getting to Lloret de Mar from Barcelona

For guests traveling from Barcelona or Barcelona Airport to the wedding events in Lloret de Mar, transportation can be arranged in two different ways: • Transfer shuttle from Barcelona Airport and Barcelona to Lloret de Mar through Moventis – to make a reservation, go to https://moventisexperience.es/en/home, plug in your information, and you will see the first option of a transfer shuttle (currently 18 euros per person). The website has excellent instructions on how to locate the shuttle. The Moventis shuttle will take you to the Lloret de Mar station, where you will catch a taxi for a short (5-10 minute) ride to your hotel (approximately 10-15 euros). There is a taxi stand at the station, but if the taxis are out, you can call either of these two services: Ràdio Taxi de Lloret de Mar – phone: +34 972 36 25 25 or ServiTaxi Lloret de Mar – phone: +34 676 45 25 45. • Private transportation from Barcelona Airport or Barcelona through Antonio – phone +34 651 47 88 99 – a minivan service provider recommended by our wedding planners. The cost for private transportation is significantly higher (approximately 250 euros), but it is available if you would like. When you speak to Antonio, make certain to tell him the reservation is for Clare and Wade’s Wedding, as he will give you his preferred rate.
