Though we grew up one hundred miles apart, we unknowingly crossed paths several times during our high schools years. Our true connection didn’t begin until years later—when we met as orthopedic nurses at Mayo Clinic. Working together in a fast-paced environment, we quickly developed a natural camaraderie and mutual respect. What started as friendship gradually deepened, and everything shifted the day Nicole (with a bit of boldness) invited herself to Aaron’s cabin for a weekend getaway. That spontaneous moment became the beginning of something lasting. Looking back, it feels like life kept quietly bringing us closer until the timing was just right.
