Hannah Weems started working in the math department at the Liberal Arts and Science Academy in Austin in the fall of 2021. On her first day, she met Vyasar Ganesan, one of the college counselors at LASA. Vyasar didn't ask Hannah out until a year later (he was very into her but VERY nervous) but their first date was on 9/7/2022. They got drinks at Kinda Tropical, a little cafe near the high school. Vyasar got a Shirley Temple, Hannah got a beer. Nearly a month later, Hannah and Vyasar had their first kiss in the parking lot outside Old Thousand. She wore a blue dress. Vyasar did a little dance in his car afterwards. It soon became clear that the two of them were getting pretty serious about each other. Late nights watching 'Taskmaster,' morning dates getting bagels before Costco runs - Hannah and Vyasar began spending more and more time together, more and more weekends together. They even went to a timeshare presentation in San Antonio together (they didn't buy one, it was just for a free meal on the Riverwalk). Six months in they said "I love you," sitting on the couch with Coconut Macaroon, Hannah's all-white cat. Hannah and Vyasar both love silliness. They take great pride in goofing off, procrastinating, and snacking like there's no tomorrow. But the thing they've found they enjoy most, more than anything else, is just being together.
