If you leave the U.S. on Wednesday, you will arrive in Porto Seguro on Thursday, with a likely connection in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, or Salvador. 2. If you have a checked bag, a layover of less than two (2) hours in São Paulo is not enough. You will miss your connection. DON'T DO THAT. Book a flight with a layover of at least two (2) hours in São Paulo (alternatively, if the two hour layover is really the cheapest option, book directly with the airline. Then, when you miss your connection, they will book you on the next flight out).

The hotel is about 1 hour 15 minutes away from the airport. We will help coordinate shuttles for flights that arrive around the same time (~$15/person one way). Alternatively, there are taxis and private transfers available (~$100 for three people one way) or Uber. **Please update us with your flight information once you have booked!**
If you would like to stay in the town of Trancoso, there are plenty of hotels around, and we would be happy to recommend some! However, note that you will have to purchase a day use or night use pass in order to join us at Club Med for the festivities. We strongly suggest staying at Club Med because these passes end up being more expensive than the rates Club Med is offering us with the Black Friday deal and the regular 10% discount. Something to think about!
August is the tail end of rain season in Trancoso. Expect a chance of rain, low 80s F during the day, and high 60s F at night.
The ceremony will take place outside (on grass) on Club Med's cliff overlooking the ocean. The reception will follow the ceremony in the party space adjacent to the cliff.
Semi-formal beach! Think light, flowy dresses for women and button-downs and long pants for men (jacket optional).
