Our Love Story

Proof that one Margarita can change Everything!

Like many good love stories, Chad and Amy’s began with friends insisting they were perfect for each other. For quite a while, those friends tried to play matchmaker—but if you know Chad and Amy, you know they can both be a little stubborn. Eventually fate stepped in. During the pandemic, Chad friended Amy, and not long after, Amy noticed he was visiting Florida—her home state—on a guys’ trip. She decided to send him a message, and they met up for what was supposed to be just one margarita. One margarita turned into hours of conversation, laughter, and the kind of connection that’s hard to ignore. That night, Amy called her cousin and said she knew there would be a second date. Five years, and one four-legged fur child( Rip) later, the rest is history. Chad and Amy truly bring out the best in each other. Their loyalty, love for family and friends, and shared sense of adventure have made them the perfect match—and they can’t wait to celebrate the start of their forever with all of you. 💕

Our Engagement Story

Thanksgiving 2024

High in the mountains of Gatlinburg in 2024, surrounded by crisp air, sweeping views, and the people who mean the most, our story took its most unforgettable turn. Amy had been honoring her grandfather’s wish—to keep family close, even after the loss of her grandfather and grandmother—by helping organize a Thanksgiving weekend in the mountains. It was meant to be a time to celebrate love, laughter, and togetherness. What she didn’t know was that she was also unknowingly planning one of the biggest moments of her own life. In the days leading up to the trip, Amy even asked Chad if she should get her nails done. Trying to keep the secret safe, he reassured her there was no way he would propose with her whole family around. (A bold and very convincing move... needless to say she didn't get them done!) On Thanksgiving Day, the entire family gathered on the balcony for a group photo—testing both the laws of gravity and the limits of Gatlinburg architecture. With everyone close together and the mountains stretching out behind them, it felt like the perfect snapshot of everything Amy’s grandfather had hoped for: family, love, and time shared together. And then, in the middle of it all, Chad changed everything. He dropped to one knee—maybe a little teary-eyed—and asked Amy to spend forever with him. In that moment, nothing needed to be perfect. Amy was in matching family shirts, her socks half slipping off, hair a little messy, no makeup—and somehow it made it all even more perfect. Surrounded by family, wrapped in love, and completely surprised, she said yes. It turns out the weekend Amy planned to bring her family together became the moment that started a new chapter of our own family. And we wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. Now join us as we go back to the mountains to tie the knot & celebrate!
