How We Met: Rebecca

Home run!

Aaron and I first met on May 19, 2018. We originally met online, and after talking to each other for a few days, it felt like we had known each other our entire lives. I was so skeptical and had definitely prepared for the worse! After about a week, we decided to put our chemistry to the test and have our first date! We made plans to go to the Barons game (a MILB team here in Birmingham), and decided to meet up right in front of the “Mural of Hope” (painted for the ‘Hope for Autumn’ charity that my family is involved with) right outside of Good People Brewing Co. As nervous as we both were, I think we both knew that it was going to be a first date different from any other! As soon as he walked up and I laid eyes on him I was a goner! He hugged me and all of my nervous energy went away just like that! We would spend the rest of the night drinking beer, watching baseball and sharing stories, just like we had known each other our entire lives. And the rest is history! Aaron stepped into my life at a time that i wasn’t sure where to go or what to do next, and carried me into the most amazing “Happily Ever After” I could’ve ever dreamed of! 11 months, a new home, and 2 dogs later... Aaron brought me right back to the exact spot where we first met 11 short months later and dropped to one knee in front of all of our family and friends and asked me to be his wife... and of course I said YES! Aaron is the most amazing/ kind-hearted person that I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing, and I’m still blown away to this day that at the end of the day on 11.2.19 that I get to call him my Husband! We can’t wait to start our future together and we can’t wait for everything that is in store for us! I can’t wait to be his Wife❤️

My Better Half

May 19, 2018 a day that I wish I could live everyday. Rebecca and I met online and I was initially skeptical about the whole online dating process, but something inside me said to give it a chance and I definitely hit a home run! From the moment our eyes met each other’s I could just tell something was different. We connected on so many levels that I didn’t think were possible on a first date. But she completely shattered my expectations and every day since then has been better than the last. It wasn’t long after that day that I knew deep down that I wanted to marry this woman. She showed me a side of this world that is just pure love, joy and happiness. When everything else in the world seems dark, Rebecca turned out to be the light of my life! The day I decided to ask Rebecca to be my wife was the most nerve wracking and life changing experience of my entire life. I was so scared, yet so ready at the same time, and just hearing her say “Yes” made me the happiest man on the planet. Rebecca and I share such a strong bond, we share so much love and so much laughter with each other. Not only is she my fiancé but also my best friend. I took a big chance looking for love and little did I know that I would find it where I least expected. I’m so blessed and incredibly happy that I get to call this amazing woman my wife on November 2, 2019. Rebecca is the ultimate human being that brought out the best in me when I didn’t think anyone could. We started our own little family with 2 dogs and a new home, and I can’t wait to add on to what we already have, one day... but for now I just look forward to 11/2/19: the day I get to finally call this amazing woman my wife!
