FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Due to safety concerns and limited space, kids are NOT allowed at the wedding ceremony and reception. However, kids are welcome at Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort which has childcare for ages 3-12 from 9am to 10pm. Keep in mind, the boat returning from the venue will arrive back at the marina around 11:30pm.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

All plus-ones for the ceremony and reception will be communicated ahead of time; however, you are welcome to bring whoever you would like to the resort to join you for the lovely vacation in Puerto Vallarta!

Question

Where do you recommend we stay?

Answer

We have reserved 40 rooms at the Dreams Vallarta Bay Resort at a discounted group rate. Room reservations include airport shuttles, as well as an all-inclusive experience for all of our guests. We kindly ask all guests to book into our room block using the link in the Travel Information tab. It was a priority for us to find somewhere affordable and all-inclusive so we could spend as much time as possible with our favorite people! Thank you for understanding!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

April in Puerto Vallarta is not too hot, not too cold, and it rarely rains. High temperatures range from 80F to 85F on average, while low temperatures range from 62F to 68F. Puerto Vallarta is considered tropical so expect some humid and muggy conditions, especially in the evening.

Question

Will the wedding take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outdoors on a private beach. The cocktail hour and reception dinner to follow will also take place outdoors but you will be under the shade of a covered patio. Afterward, we will dance on the beach and under the stars!

Question

How will I get to the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding venue is on a private beach only accessible by boat. Guests will hop on a large, private boat leaving from the main marina in Puerto Vallarta (the same marina used by the major cruise ships). The 45-minute boat ride will have an open bar and music as it sails across the Bay of Banderas to our wedding venue at Las Caletas. The same boat will bring all guests back to the marina after the reception. **Details regarding transportation to and from the marina coming soon!**

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! There will be an open bar on the boat transporting guests to and from the wedding and there will be an open bar for the cocktail hour and reception as well.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Beach casual! For the ladies, opt for a simple sundress, breezy maxi dress, or high-quality romper. For the men, collared, short-sleeved shirts such as polos and button-downs are permitted as well as nice shorts or pants with a belt. Avoid cargo and swim shorts, please. If you would like to wear sandals, that's okay too!
