We technically first met each other in the sixth grade wing at Discovery Middle School when we were 12 years old. I still have my yearbook from 2009 where Brad signed his name and wrote H.A.G.S. (Have A Great Summer!) After that encounter, Brad and I wouldn't see each other for six years. We are now high school seniors and are both planning our final spring break. Little did we know, us both choosing to go to Panama City Beach, Florida on the same days would be the best thing that has ever happened to us. Due to mutual friends from both of our friend groups, the two groups decided to meet up the first night in Florida. The moment we saw each other Brad said “Brianna Mallia from Discovery! How are you?” and he came up and gave me a big hug. I had two immediate thoughts running through my head. 1. Wow this kid remembers me and 2. He is really cute! The following night our two groups decided to meet up again to go to a teen paint club. This is where there is blaring music playing and paint is being thrown on everyone in the building. Half way through the night, Brad and I started dancing with one another. After a bit, Brad yelled in my ear (again.. we were in a club) “I think you are both unique and beautiful. I really like you!” I quickly replied “I like you too” and that was when we had our first kiss! Later that night, Brad and I met on the beach sharing trivial facts about ourselves. We immediately felt comfortable with one another. It was in that specific moment that I realized I was crushing hard for this boy. The following couple of days were great! Brad and I continued to get to know one another. On the night of April 9, 2015 Brad came up with a master plan to ask me to prom. He spent his entire day planning a “promposal” including his friends, my friends, and even my mom to serve as a distraction for me! Needless to say, that the one of the easiest yeses I ever said! And the rest is history!
