We met through mutual friends with a shared interest in bodybuilding. We became closer overtime as we spent numerous occasions traveling to support friends on stage, training in the gym, and celebrating successes within the sport. The discipline and dedication we shared within this hobby are characteristics that we also shared outside the sport. Bình was working on his masters degree at the time and I was a travel nurse. We were both ambitious people with a strong work ethic and passion for giving our absolute best to anything we took on. During one of the many show trips Bình asked me to join him for fasted cardio, we were both three weeks out from our next show and highly depleted, then he spent the 45 minutes asking me questions ranging from, how many siblings I had, to, what style I used for conflict resolution. It was the most intense cardio session I had endured all prep. Shortly thereafter Bình made his intentions clear that he was interested in pursuing a relationship with me and we eventually went on our first real date which included the gym followed by sushi. Two years later after many more gym dates, shared Sunday mornings in church, and of course plenty of sushi Bình asked me to be his wife.
