In June of 2016, 3 of my besties and I planned a “senior week” trip in Ocean City, Maryland to celebrate high school graduation. Once we got there, we unpacked, settled in, and quickly realized there were so many people from surrounding high schools there for senior week, too! Our first day there, I was sitting on the couch in a mutual friend's rental house. Sam walked in the door, sat down next to me, and said "Hi, I'm Sam." I replied, "I know.” We instantly connected. From the second we met until the end of that week, we were together. We were inseparable. We continued to be inseparable since then. We quickly realized how much we cared for one another and wanted to be in a relationship. On July 12, 2016, Sam asked me to be his girlfriend. Now, here we are, 6 years later!

It was a few days before our 5 year anniversary and we made plans to go out for dinner to celebrate. Before going to eat, we stopped at our local neighborhood park, Grandview Park. It is one of our favorite spots and holds a lot of wonderful memories for us and some of our friends. It overlooks the city of Pittsburgh and is a nice piece of nature in our busy city. Of course, I wanted to take some pictures to remember the occasion! I got a few on self-timer and was going through them. When I turned around to show Sam, he was down on one knee, ready to ask me to spend forever with him. It was the easiest yes of my life!
