A scenic, continuous pedestrian path along the Milwaukee River. There are art installations, cafés, water-taxi landings, and lots of spots to just wander and take in views.

Riverwalk

Stunning architecture (the wings!) + beautiful art collections inside. Great for a cultural touch.

Authentic Italian in a cozy setting; very nice dinner spot

Calderone Club - Downtown Milwaukee

Lakefront Brewery is one of Milwaukee’s gems! Stop in for a tour, grab a pint of their famous beer, and don’t skip the cheese curds — they’re some of the best in town.

Both are fairly close, walkable, full of character: shops, galleries, older buildings, good food/dining options. Great for exploring lightly off the beaten path.
