Neither of us can remember the exact moment we met, but we know it was sometime during our freshman year of high school in 2008. Although Lauren did not attend DuBourg, she was friends with many people who did, and one night she went to a “city party” where she was introduced to all of the eligible DB guys… none of them caught her attention until almost 15 years later. Nick says that ever since that night, Lauren stood out to him because of her personality and humor. Throughout the years, we stayed friends—catching up at those “city parties,” texting here and there, and Nick visiting Lauren in NYC when she took a travel nursing contract there. It wasn’t until 2023, when Nick saw Lauren at a birthday party, that he knew he had to grab her attention. It took a few attempts to get her to agree to a first date, but it finally happened on August 2nd, 2023—one of the best days of Nick’s life!
