FAQs

Question

What is "adventure attire"?

Answer

Icelandic summers are all about layers! Temperatures typically range from 45-60 deg, but can quickly spike in either direction depending on location and winds. Rain is always a possibility, so versatile boots/shoes and a waterproof layer are key. Water-resistant athletic/hiking pants are best.

Question

What should I wear for the wedding ceremony?

Answer

The classier the better! We envision all-black outfits with white/silver accents (i.e. dress shirts, jewelry, patterns). Footing may not be stable so prefer boots, flats, or block heels - no stilettos! A jacket or other warmer layer is also recommended, as temperature may fluctuate. We will be going straight from the ceremony on to greater adventure, so be sure to bring a change of adventure attire along with you.

Question

Will there be 24 hour sun?

Answer

The sun never truly sets in the Icelandic summer, with only a few hours of dusk. For those sensitive to light (like us) we highly suggest a sleep mask. Here's our favorite: https://tinyurl.com/cotton-sleep-mask
