Brandon and Victoria's story began with a like on Match.com. They progressed to a 2-hour phone call that Brandon made to Victoria on his way home from work and continued the entire time she prepped, baked, and cleaned up from an apple crisp for a friends gathering the next day. Their relationship became 'real' after a night spent at the Meadowlands Racetrack. The date lasted through the last race of the night, where Victoria couldn't decide who to bet on. She asked Brandon to decide and he replied, "Well since this is our first date of hopefully many more, let's bet on the horse named Save the Last Dance." They left smiling, and not just because their horse took first place but that they had found each other! For their next date Brandon, a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, took Victoria to a Jets game where she gifted him his very own Jets hat, that he actually wore (there's a photo)! They tailgated, ate & drank, laughed & cheered, and continued thru dinner. Their relationship progressed immensely during a weekend getaway in Atlantic City. The normal AC activities took place; gambling, eating, drinking, relaxing, but also deep conversation about the current state of their lives and where they wanted to head in the near and distant future. They realized they were on the same page. Since meeting, Brandon has been Victoria's rock. Unfortunately, soon after beginning their relationship Victoria and her sister, Amanda, experienced the sudden loss of their mom, Barbara. Despite being new to one another, and the many difficult things to be dealt with, Brandon was there. He was a huge help with taking care of her Mom's cat Heid, which Heid remains grateful for and always welcomes Brandon home from work, more than he does when Victoria returns. They’ve had some wonderful travels too. Their first being to Colorado for Amanda’s wedding. Many trips to Seaside with Brandon’s parents and Jax. A memorable trip to Florida with Brandon’s family for his cousin Devin’s wedding. Brandon and Victoria celebrated his 40th in Eugene at an Oregon Ducks' football game. Brandon also took his first trip across the Atlantic where they met Victoria’s family in Ireland. Ireland was their best trip yet. Brandon surprised Victoria with an engagement proposal at the Cliffs of Moher and asked if she would "always save the last dance for him." She said YES and they’ve been on cloud 9 since!
