Things To Do

We love DC and hope you'll have some time in between festivities to see why we do! The wedding ceremony and reception are right by (we mean, RIGHT BY) The White House and it goes without saying that its worth checking out. The Mall, which has monuments galore and views of The Capitol, is also close by and is a great spot to stroll around. Other places to explore:

Eastern Market

225 7th Street Southeast, Washington, DC 20003

You'll need to metro (blue, silver or orange lines) or take a car down here. It's a few blocks from where we live and place we frequent on weekends for the great shopping and people (and dog) watching. Also coincidentally the place where Lauren was visiting over eight years ago when she decided to move to DC! In addition to the vendors that line up along 7th St. SE on the weekends, there are other restaurants and shops along 7th and 8th Streets and on Pennsylvania Ave.

Old Ebbitt Grill

675 15th Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20005

A DC staple. Solid place for food and drinks.

The Bombay Club

815 Connecticut Avenue Northwest, Washington, DC 20006

Upscale Indian restaurant that is one of our favorites!

Iron Gate Restaurant

1734 N Street Northwest, Washington, DC 20036

We went here on our first date!

For all the days along the way
