It was somewhat of a "blind date" set up by the McKenzie's. I worked with John, and Ryan worked with Emmy. After John told Emmy he worked with someone who was single, Emmy lit up saying she had a coworker who was single too! The matchmakers quickly went to work on how they could get us to meet. They were going to be throwing a house party and thought that'd be the perfect way to meet without having too much pressure. Not knowing anything about this mysterious person we were going to meet, Ryan and I both debated on going but had the same thought, "I'm only going to sit at home alone if I don't go"...so we went! We had a blast and were the last ones to leave that night. Ryan was a bit slow, and at first didn't ask for my number. It was cold enough for the windows to frost, so instead he asked, "Do you have an ice scraper?". But when he brought it back, he asked for my number! All thanks to our amazing matchmakers, that night led to our forever!

Soon after meeting for the first time, and staying up way too late texting, we knew we wanted to spend more time together. Ryan invited me over to help wrap his family's Christmas presents, our non-official first date. That night also sparked the debate on whether Panchero's or Chipotle is better - we still stand strong on our own vote (Panchero's is definitely superior!). Our lives, goals, and personalities meshed perfectly together. We've supported each other's career changes and growth and continue to enjoy talking about our future plans! If you ask any of our friends or family, they will all say, "It's about *dang* time!" and we couldn't agree more! We are so excited to share our special day with each of you!
