Max's oldest childhood friend, truly like a brother. Drew and Max grew up directly across the street from each other and spent just about every day playing outside, on the same sports teams, and sharing in a wonderful childhood.

Max and Vlad met as randomly-assigned roommates at the beginning of Max's sophomore year. It was decided many, many years ago that if (when) Max and Ellie got married, one of the couple's oldest and closest friends would fill the role of officiant.
