They met in their sophomore year of high school and had their first three classes together. There was a time when they were assigned to do an English project together, Vanessa did all of it but they both got credit! It was the typical good girl and bad boy attraction. They started talking and getting to know each other more, before you knew it they were at a park watching the sunset together and fell in love. At one point Vanessa moved to Arizona to finish her senior year and Octavio stayed in California, long distance was hard for the young couple. Once they were both of age, Octavio made the decision to follow his love and create a new life in Arizona. In the past decade they have grown together and built a strong relationship. Now they are excited to begin this next chapter in their lives and can't wait to share this moment with you all.

Octavio proposed to Vanessa in front of their close family members, just like she wanted. While her mother kept her busy upstairs, in a matter of minutes Octavio and family were able to set up the proposal. Roses coming down the staircase, everyone holding a letter, and "Until the End of Time" by Justin Timberlake playing in the background. Once Vanessa realized what was happening she was so nervous. She made it down the stairs and the letters spelled out Will You Marry with Octavio holding a sign that said ME? Vanessa said YES!! (After being together for 8 years she was really thinking Finally!)
