Mountain Humane is always looking for volunteers but for those just looking to help a little and interact with the animals, public dog walking hours are daily from 11am-1pm and 3pm-4pm. Public cat socialization hours are 11am-6pm.

Music festival runs from July 26th, 2020 - August 20th, 2020 The Sun Valley Music Festival, running semi-nightly, is the perfect way to make the sun-kissed memories you’ll think back to when wintertime rolls around again. The days may be getting shorter, but it never feels that way atop a blanket on the grass with the sound of strings drifting up toward the mountain peaks, and pink sky going on for miles.
Some of the best alpine granite in the country can be found in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area north of Sun Valley. With a short hike you can access areas such the Elephant’s Perch and Finger of Fate. By late July most of the technical peaks in the Sawtooths can be done as pure rock climbs including Mt. Heyburn and Warbonnet. Also, there are some world-class cragging destinations in Southern Idaho a short drive from the Sun Valley area including City of Rocks and Castle Rock State Park. In a place where every ride takes you somewhere magical, it's as though you've arrived in mountain bike nirvana. As of summer 2014, Sun Valley Resort added lift-accessed mountain biking on Bald Mountain. With 3,400 feet of vertical drop to the valley floor, the European-style ski mountain lends itself quite well to a hair-on-fire big mountain experience on two wheels.
