Strictly speaking, no. However, cars are the most efficient way to get around outside of Dublin. Most car rentals shops will assume you drive manual, so make sure to specifically book an automatic if that's what you need. If you want to get to Kenmare via public transportation there are a few options to get to Killarney, from there you can take a bus to Kenmare with Bus Eireann (https://www.buseireann.ie/). 1. Take a bus from Dublin Airport to Killarney via Dublin Coach (https://www.dublincoach.ie/). 2. Take the train from Dublin to Killarney via Irish Rail (https://www.irishrail.ie/en-ie/). 3. Take the bus from Shannon Airport to Killarney via Expressway (https://www.expressway.ie/). If you're flying into Kerry Airport, you can book a taxi to and from Kenmare -- it might be most economical to book a larger shuttle with other folks on your flight and we recommend scheduling with a taxi co based in Tralee as it's the nearest town to the Kerry Airport. We recommend booking transportation early before they sell out in the summer high season!
We'll be providing transportation from Kenmare to Dromquinna on Saturday
For the ceremony and reception: Formal --think suits and nice dresses; tuxedos and gowns are welcome, but not required (weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktails will be outside). For Friday's welcome event please dress casually, but nice (there will be a photographer present, but we'll still be in a pub after all). Summer whites welcomed and encouraged. On Sunday the focus is recovery so come as you are.
We recommend a babysitter for the reception (a multi-course dinner won't be fun for them!), and are happy to help you find local options for the evening. Children are invited to the welcome event and BBQ --let us know if you are bringing them so we can prepare for our youngest guests.
