While we met rather undramatically on Bumble, we had a fantastic first date at an Indian restaurant. The wait staff hovered off to the side trying to find a lull and interrupt us as little as possible, apologizing way too much whenever they finally did. When the check came Vlad asked to split (Vlad: one of my tests) much to Alisha’s excitement (Alisha: I always preferred splitting). But when Vlad said he would pay Alisha insisted they split it. Staff came back apologetic with the news that they didn’t see Vlad’s card and only charged Alisha’s card - not both! Geniusly (Vlad totally didn’t create that word) he would use this as an excuse to take her out for dessert and suggest a second date. Over the next few months, little to Alisha's knowledge, Vlad was "grading" against a large weighted distribution excel sheet filled with all the things he was looking for in a relationship running her through his new system. Little to Vlad's knowledge, however, Alisha had been a straight A student in college. It was a very different approach from both of our previous relationships (Vlad: I figure I’d max out logic to help us). A relationship of proactively working on our future so we're properly armed to work through it together. The rest is history :-)
