Like a lot of modern love stories, ours started with Bumble and a first date at Michael Angelo’s Winery. Jonathan made a pretty strong first impression by becoming the first guy to ever bring me flowers on a first date. He also went in for a hug while I confidently stuck out my hand for a handshake instead — so you could say we got off to a slightly awkward start. Somehow, it worked anyway. Over the years, we’ve built a life together around the things we love most: hiking, home projects, gardening, trying new restaurants, being outdoors, and getting way too competitive over board games and puzzles. We moved to Columbus for a chapter of our lives and eventually found our way back home, collecting a lot of memories along the way. We also became cat parents to Cleo and Jingle, our two black cats who definitely run the house. Jonathan is one of the kindest and most thoughtful people I know, and I like to think I bring the humor and nurturing side to our relationship. We balance each other in all the best ways. Almost two years after our first date, Jonathan brought our story full circle and proposed at the same winery where it all started. We’re so excited to celebrate with the people we love most and are so grateful you’re part of our story.
