How We Met

First Comes School, Then Comes Marriage

A long long time ago in a galaxy far far away we were in fifth grade. I noticed him from across the room with his glasses and long hair and just "HAD to be his friend". We became friends and kept getting closer. Next comes high school and we were inseparable, dating other people but best friends. In college we started to drift but three years later I get a facebook message and I couldn't help but cry. A whole 7 minutes later, I messaged back and well now we have a house and a dog and we're doing this crazy thing known as getting married. We can't wait to share the day with everyone!

The Proposal

3.24.2019

For my birthday I received the most amazing gift. I was going to meet Murtle the Turtle at the Boston Aquarium. Those who know me know how much I love turtles and can imagine the excitement I felt. We drove up to Boston the day before, took a boat tour, had delicious food, and stayed at a fancy hotel. I didn't think the weekend could get any better. The next morning I was up and ready to go in record time. We made our way to the aquarium after an amazing breakfast and I was shaking with excitement. We got a tour of the aquarium and in the end I got to meet and feed Murtle. Everything was perfect. We walked out of the back room and Travis yells "Ria!". My excitement quickly turned into confusion as Ria walked towards me. She hugged me and handed me a picture with the beginning sentence to a story. As I finished reading the tears started and I looked at Ria as she said " Come with me there are a few more people here to see you". As I walked down the spiral walkway I saw Travis's mom who handed me another story page, then Travis's dad who handed me another, then my “biffle” Lauren (who lives in Arizona) and if I wasn't crying before I was definitely crying now. We continued walking and I can barely see when at the end of the staircase I see my mom and brother. They both hugged me and handed me the last page with a picture of Travis down on one knee. My mom turns me around and there he is in real life with a ring in his hand and he says those words every girl dreams of hearing "Will you marry me" I couldn't even remember responding but there is a video verifying that I indeed said "Of course I will". I know. It sounds like something straight out of a movie.
