We first crossed paths at the airport where we both worked — though it wasn’t exactly love at first sight. In fact, we didn’t get along at all! (There might have been a few eye rolls involved.) BUT, laughter replaced the tension and over time a friendship quietly bloomed. One day, we made a bet — and when I (obviously) won, he took me out for ice cream. I thought I was just cashing in my prize… until he surprised me with a kiss that changed everything. It took him a little while (and a lot of patience on my part) before he officially asked me to be his girlfriend. Just when everything felt perfect, life threw us a curveball: I found out I was moving to another state. I thought that might be the end of our story, but he had other plans. We survived six months of long distance before he made the most impulsive decision of his life: he packed up everything and moved! to be with me…a leap of faith that changed both of our lives. Four years later, he brought me back to the place where it all began, got down on one knee, and asked me to be his forever. Every challenge, every mile apart, every twist and turn led us right here — and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
