We met in our freshman year at the UW in an AAIV small group (shout out to Alder!!). Alec was immediately drawn to Viv's bubbly personality and her ability to make anyone she talks to feel comfortable and Viv was drawn to Alec's... well we're still not entirely sure, but there had to have been something there! We quickly became friends after countless study sessions & boba runs and then just as quickly, Alec developed stronger feelings towards Viv. Unfortunately, Viv felt like we were "just friends" and Alec was relegated to the dreaded friendzone... but don't worry! In just 18 short (excruciatingly long) months, Alec was finally able to wear Viv down enough to break through the friendzone and finally get Viv to agree to date him. And now, over 8 years (!!!) later, we've been through so much; from graduating from UW, to going on Alec's favorite travel trips, to doing long distance while Viv earned her MPH in Baltimore, and now to moving to New York City to start a brand new adventure. We are still each other's best friend and we are so excited to finally get married in front of all of our favorite people. :)
